Funding Transportation Through TANF

TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) funds, managed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, lets states fund transportation for families moving from welfare to work. TANF funds are flexible and can be used to subsidize costs of transporting needy children to child care.
